Our Club supports the local community, physically & financially with donations, or buying essential equipment for individuals, community organisations or local & national charities.
The Club will consider requests for help or a donation from the club. Requests for help from individuals, voluntary organisations and charities are discussed at our business meetings.(held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Barwell Constitutional Club.) Please contact our membership officer if you wish to attend
To fund our donations, our club members are involved with various fund raising events. Our 2 main fund raising events are the Earl Shilton Street Fayre, and the annual themed Ball at the Hinckley Marston Stadium. Other events include Quiz nights, Car Boot Sales (new for 2008!), sponsored challenges & whatever ideas we come up with!
As well as fund raising, our club has an active social diary as part of friendship & fellowship. We have social events throughout the year, usually once a month. All Lions clubs have an annual charter anniversary; some clubs celebrate formally with a dinner & dance, others with an informal lunch.
